James’s Background
James got started in business years ago in an MLM, which taught him how to get organized and how to sell. But he chafed against the idea of selling products he did not choose himself.
And so in August of 2022, he started his own business. JHL is a business consulting company out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

JHL helps local and online small businesses to get tools to grow like templates and other products (such as ebooks, etc.) to stay in business. They will also meet clients 1:1, provide analytics, and help with paid ad management.
The business currently consists of him, a VA in Mumbai, India, and local freelancers who will work on contracts for him or can help with local meetings. He’s glad to be helping both local and online communities.

It Pays to Have Experience
James’s business experience has stood him in good stead. It wasn’t too long after he started JHL that he sought financing. In the same month that he started JHL, he was approved for a Credit Line Hybrid in the amount of $11,000.
He wasted no time in getting his ducks lined up. James has already obtained his LLC and EIN, started his website, and is blogging. He has a virtual office with Regus that is 5 minutes from his home at a desirable location in Murfreesboro so he can meet with clients there. James also got a phone number through RingCentral which he said was, “very easy to navigate.”
Taking it to the Next Level With Credit Suite
James loves Credit Suite as a resource and received financing as a startup. The Credit Line Hybrid “really helps” — he used it to build out the company website.

James has a Paypal merchant account and a bank account with Regions bank. He has gotten cards from Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors, and particularly loves AtoB, a Tier 2 vendor, saying they are, “very, very good.” It’s his first gas card through Credit Suite.

He makes sure to check his business credit scores regularly, and is seeing them rise as his accounts are reporting.
What Does the Future Hold?
James is also looking into an affiliation to help others get business credit through Credit Suite, saying, “There’s no way you can lose.”
He’s enjoying getting his website going. It is already fast and mobile-friendly—and his blog is well-written and informative. Customers are already asking him if he will create or add an app and he is still mulling that over.
