Company Summary

WeSUBTeach is a kind of Uber app for substitute teachers in early childhood education.

Rather than depending on a school district to maybe call at the last minute, needing a sub, a teacher scrolls through a list of choices in their preferred locale.

Credit Suite is thrilled to report that Zakiya Bryant and WeSUBTeach.com have been approved for more than $55,000 in business credit cards, tradelines, and lines of credit.

This financing will be used to help pair early childhood development substitute teachers with eager schools in Atlanta, Georgia and beyond.

Zakiya’s Background

Zakiya has always had an entrepreneurial bent. She has mainly been in human resources, and originally started with an educational staffing agency which she owned in 2009. When that business changed, she hit upon the idea of WeSUB Teach.

WeSUB Teach

WeSUBTeach efficiently pairs available early childhood development substitute teachers with the schools that need them.

Schools get teachers who have passed a federal background screening and a drug test—and have experience.

Teachers get the flexibility of being able to make their own schedule in the gig economy. They do not have to settle for just working at the first school that calls them.

Currently, WeSUB Teach has just one employee, but Zakiya is looking to bring on her daughter, Jabasha Bryant, soon. Jabasha will bring a new perspective and social media savvy. Business credit truly is for every generation.

When talking about Credit Suite, Zakiya said, “Really, I can endorse this product.”

It Pays to Have Experience

Because this is not Zakiya’s first-ever business, she already knew she would need financing.

But until she started to watch Ty on YouTube, she did not realize that the business credit card she had gotten in the past wasn’t helping her business at all. She had given up a personal guarantee for a card that didn’t report.

But it all started to change in 2020, when she first began to work with Credit Suite. Zakiya started off with small, slow and steady approvals with trade vendors. In 2021, she was rejected by Home Depot, but that didn’t stop her.

Because she persisted, after about a year and a half, her financing took a quantum leap when she got a $21,000 line of credit!

As she says, “You just have to have time to complete the steps and stay up with it.”

Taking it to the Next Level With Credit Suite

Zakiya has received about $55,000 – $60,000 in financing from Credit Suite since starting with us in 2020. This came in the form of:

  • $10,000 limit credit card from Truist
  • $7,000 limit credit card from American Express
  • $5,000 limit credit card from Capital One Business
  • $21,000 credit line
  • $4,000 gas card from Marathon
  • $2,500 from Maverick Office Supplies
  • Three tradeline accounts at about $2,000 apiece: The CEO Creative; Crown Office Supplies; and Quill

These days, apart from continuing to check her scores and apply for more financing, Zakiya uses Credit Suite credit monitoring to stay on top of any issues before they have the potential to spiral out of control.

What Does the Future Hold for Zakiya Bryant?

When talking about when Ty first started to talk about business credit, she said, “I think he was ahead of the curve. Tell him I said thanks.”

And thank you, too, Zakiya.

We are excited to see what Zakiya and We SUB Teach do next.
